1920's ANTIQUE H. A. LOWE STARRETT LAST WORD DIAL INDICATOR NO D-10-2.0001
This is a rare, beautiful and elegant antique dial indicator from the early 1900's. The indicator is in great operating and cosmetic shape. The indicator moves very smoothly and consistently zeroes out quickly and easily. It has large, easy to read 2 diameter dial with a. 0001, The glass/crystal is excellent and has only minor scratches and signs of wear. It is a post mount design as can be seen in the pictures. This is a really, really nice antique dial indicator in great vintage condition! On the side it is marked Pat. June 29-15, May 25-26, others pending" and "D10 874.
Some quick research revealed that Lowe was started in Waltham, Mass in 1902. In 1907 they moved to Cleveland and came out with the "last word" indicator branding in 1914.
