Here is a Fowler No. 52-585-010 magnetic base with a Starrett No.
25-441 dial indicator that are in veryy good used condition. These tools have been used, so you will find a few minor cosmetic imperfections, but nothing that will hinder their usefulness. So there are no surprises when you receive your tools, I want to point out that the previous owner scribed his/her name on both sides of this magnetic base. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice used set of precision tools. These tools have been "Frankensteined" together. Different manufacturers have made each piece. Once put together, they make a very nice, useful set of precision tools.
The Starrett dial indicator has been used and probably abused. It has a range of 1.000 and a resolution of. The clear plastic lens has plenty of scratches, scuffs, and is yellowed from use. It is still easily readable. The Fowler magnetic base turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. Everything moves around easily and sets up rigidly wherever you want it to. The fine adjustment feature helps you easily set your indicator up. Everything will work perfectly for you! These tools have a vertical reach of about 16 1/2" and a horizontal reach of approximately 7.5".
This American made indicator and Japanese made magnetic base are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox. Please look at all the photographs as they can describe the condition of these tools much better than I can.
