The Starrett 81-261J Dial Indicator has a shockless, hardened steel gear train and jewel bearings. It is furnished with a lug-on-center back.

Range One Revolution: 0.2mm. Rugged and simple unit construction. Sharp bezel serrations for positive grip. No-glare satin finish on case. Hardened stainless steel rack and spindle. Massive bridge for rigid bearing support. Hardened stainless steel gears and pinions.

Indicator appears lightly used, and is in'like new' condition. Indicator moves smoothly and measures accurately throughout the range of measurement and repeats consistently.

Crystal is clear and free of scratches. Paint is in beautiful condition, with no wear or chips. Stem shows no signs of clamping.
