Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Lufkin No. There tools have been used so you will find a few minor scratches, nicks, and maybe a dig or two, but nothing that will hinder the usefulness of this set. This set has been polished up and the paint touched up to bring it back to the very nice condition it is now in. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. The fine adjustment knob helps setting your indicator up a breeze. The Lufkin dial indicator set has also been used and in very good condition with plenty of life left in it. This indicator comes with a removable "wiggler" attachment. It is very useful to "reach" into those had to get places. The clear plastic lens has many small scratches and but it is still easily readable. There are several other attachments that come with this set for different applications and to help make your reading easier. The beautiful original wooden box is also in good shape. It has suffered a few imperfections from protecting this indicator but will continue to protect it for years to come. This base and indicator have a vertical reach of about 12 1/2" and a horizontal reach of about 10".
It fits great into those spots that the larger magnetic bases just won't fit. Also included is a snug that holds these tools together. This American made magnetic base and indicator are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox.
