Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Mitutoyo No. There tools have been used so you will find a few minor scratches, nicks, and maybe a dig or two, but nothing that will hinder the usefulness of this set. The magnetic base has been polished up to bring it back to the very good condition it is now in. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. The Mitutoyo dial indicator set has also been used??? You have to look pretty hard to find any imperfections, besides the previous owner scratched his favorite number 458 into each of the pieces in this set. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice used indicator. There are several other attachments that come with this set for many different applications. The original protective box is also in very good shape.

It barely has any marks on it, open and closes perfectly, holds these tools securely, and will continue to protect it for years to come. This base and indicator have a vertical reach of about 17 1/2" and a horizontal reach of about 18 1/2". This American made magnetic base and Japanese madeindicator are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox. Please look at all the photographs as they can describe the condition these tools much better than I can.
