196 dial indicator that is in very good condition. There tools have been used so you will find a few very minor scratches but nothing that will hinder the usefulness of this set. Everything is in excellent used condition. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface.

The fine adjustment knob helps setting your indicator up a breeze. The Starrett dial indicator is in excellent used condition. Besides a small dent on the backside of this indicator, you will have a hard time finding another flaw on it. You can see this dent in the last photo. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a indicator that is in great shape. The clear plastic lens is crystal clear because I just replaced it. Everything is held in the original wooden box. It is also in good shape. This case has suffered a few imperfections from protecting this set but will continue to protect it for years to come.

This base and indicator have a vertical reach of about 9 1/2" and a horizontal reach of about 6 1/2". It fits great into those spots that the larger magnetic bases just won't fit. Also included is a snug that holds these tools together and different indicator points for different applications. This American made magnetic base and indicator are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox.
