Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Starrett No. There tools have been used so you will find a few minor scratches, nicks, and maybe a dig or two, but nothing that will hinder the usefulness of this set. This set has been polished up and the paint touched up to bring it back to the very nice condition it is now in. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. The fine adjustment knob helps setting your indicator up a breeze. The Starrett dial indicator has also been used and in very good condition with plenty of life left in it. The clear plastic lens has many small minor scratches but it is still easily readable.

The original wooden box is also in good shape. It has suffered a few imperfections from protecting this set but will continue to protect it for years to come.

It was dirty when I received it so I cleaned it up the best I could. It looks alot better then it did. This base and indicator have a vertical reach of about 9 1/2" and a horizontal reach of about 7". It fits great into those spots that the larger magnetic bases just won't fit. Also included is a snug that holds these tools together and different indicator points for different applications. This American made magnetic base and indicator are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox.
