Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with No. 711 last word in a beautiful wood box

Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Starrett No. 711 last word indicator that come in a beautiful wooden box. This set is in very good, excellent used condition. It has been used by someone who has taken very good care of it or by someone that hasn't used it very much at all. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. It is great for getting into those tight places those larger magnetic bases just won't fit in. The fine adjustment knob helps make setting up this indicator a breeze.

711 last word indicator is also in very good condition. The red protective case has two marks on the top of it and some marks and smudges the bottom of the case from normal use. Please don't let this detract from what is otherwise a very nice used set. These tools have a vertical reach of about 9 1/4" and a horizontal reach of about 6 1/2". The protective wood box is also is great condition.

Someone wrote 657B on the top right corner and it has a small scratch or two suffered from protecting these tools. It opens and closes easily, latches shut securely, and will continue to protect this set for years to come. This American made magnetic base and indicator are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox. Please look at all the photographs as they can describe the condition these tools much better than I can.
