Here is a Starrett No. 657A magnetic base with a Starrett No. There tools have been used so you will find a few minor scratches, nicks, and maybe a dig or two, but nothing that will hinder the usefulness of this set. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly on any smooth steel surface. The fine adjustment knob helps setting your indicator up a breeze.

The Starrett dial indicator has also been used and in very good condition with plenty of life left in it. The clear plastic lens has many small minor scratches but it is still easily readable.

The original wooden box is also in good shape. It has suffered a few imperfections from protecting this set but will continue to protect it for years to come. It all fits great into those spots that are made for them and they all come in a nice Starrett Box.
