Starrett No. 657AA magnetic base with a No. 196 indicator set Made in U. S. A

Here is a Starrett No. 657AA magnetic base with a Starrett No. 196 dial indicator set that are in excellent used condition. These tools have been used, so there are a few minor cosmetic imperfections, but nothing that will hinder their usefulness.

There are no initials or engravings anywhere on any of these tools. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" solidly to any smooth steel surface.

Everything slides around easily and locks down tight wherever you want it to. The Starrett dial indicator set is also in excellent condition. There are a few very minor scratches or scuffs on the clear plastic lens. It is still easily readable.

All of the accessories are included. These accessories allow you to set up your indicator in a variety of different ways. All of these tools are kept in its original red protective case. It opens easily, snaps shut, and holds everything securely.

It will continue to protect your tools for many years to come. The red cardboard protective boxes have done a very good job of protecting these tools. They have some wear and tear on them from doing their job. They are still solid and will continue to protect your tools from many years to come.

Everything will work perfectly for you! This base and indicator have a vertical reach of about 16" and a horizontal reach of about 8". Also included is a No. 657Y indicator attachment for use with indicators with a lug on the back. These American made tools are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox.
