You have to look pretty hard to find imperfections anywhere on them. The magnet turns "on" and "off" easily and "sticks" securely on any smooth steel surface.

The fine adjustment knob helps setting your indicator up a breeze. The Starrett dial indicator is in pristine condition. Everything will work perfectly for you! This base and indicator have a vertical reach of about 9 1/2" and a horizontal reach of about 6". It fits great into those spots that the larger magnetic bases just won't fit.

Also included is a No. 196K snug that holds these tools together plus four different contact points for different applications. These tools have all been kept in thier original red protective cardboard boxes. They have done a very good job of protecting these tools. They are very solid and holds everything securely. They will continue to protect your tools for many years to come. This American made magnetic base and indicator are ready to go back to work immediately and would make a great addition to any precision toolbox.
