Here is a Starrett No. 658 HEAVY DUTY magnetic base with a Starrett No. 25-441 - 1 dial indicator that is in very good used condition. This magnetic base is a MONSTER!!!!

This base dwarfs the much smaller Starrett No. 657 magnetic base as shown in the last photo. (not included) These tools have been used so you will find a few minor imperfections but nothing that will hinder their usefulness. There are no initials or engravings anywhere on these tools.

The magnetic base sticks solidly to any flat steel surface. The fine adjustment feature helps make setting these tools up a breeze. All of the knobs move easily around and lock down tight wherever you want them to, just as designed. This set-up has a maximum reach of approximately 22" vertically and approximately 9" horizontally. The Starrett dial indicator is also in very good condition moving easily with no hesitations and always returning to "0".

The lens has a few scratches and scuffs, but it is still easily readable. This base and indicator weigh almost 8 pounds, very heavy duty. These tool are all kept in its own protective case.

This red metal toolbox has done a very good job of protecting these tools. It has suffered a few scratches, scuffs, and stains from doing its job. It opens and closes easily, locks shut, and holds these tools securely. It will continue to protect this set for many years to come. These American made tools would make a great addition to any precision toolbox.
